Web Developer/Analyst
A full-time position working under the CIO/Vice President of Information Technology to build and maintain web applications for the College. My primary responsibilities include managing the transition of a Microsoft FrontPage managed intranet to Microsoft Sharepoint 2010, supporting the College's website built with Drupal, maintaining custom built applications designed by third parties and building new solutions to meet the College's growing needs.

I have done freelance work for various clients since my sophomore year of college. Clients that I have worked with in the past include the University of North Carolina at Asheville athletic department, The Health Adventure, Triple Threat Hoops, Center for Massage and Natural Health, Delphi Development, Adult Dance Camps, and American Chik. Design and marketing firms I have worked with include Big Bridge, Octane Inc., and Market Connections. Several of the clients and firms listed were former clients of Estella Design which continued working with me in a part-time capacity when the company closed. My current clients are Susan Breedlove Properties and Meg Harper.

Graphic/Web Designer
A full-time position working with a team that consists of the Director of Communications, Graphic/Web Designer, a full-time Communications Specialist and a part-time Graphic Design Specialist to promote the College and its programs and services. My primary responsibilities include designing promotional materials, ads, and course schedules for the Continuing Education division, assisting in the maintenance of the intranet and the Continuing Education portion of the website, and handling occasional event photography.

Communications Specialist
A part-time position working with a team that consists of the Director of Communications, Graphic Designer, Web Designer, and a full-time Communications Specialist to promote the College and its programs and services. My primary responsibilities include designing a printed newsletter called Tech Talk and posting the content to the website, handling occasional event photography, and designing promotional materials and ads as assigned.

A part-time position at a small design firm working with an Art Director/Graphic Designer to design logos, promotional materials, ads, and websites to promote the businesses of our clients. I was involved in all phases of the design process from concept to production for most of our projects. My employer considered me to be the web production specialist at the firm.

Contract Graphic Designer
I handled the design and production of promotional materials in a part-time position during the Marketing Director's maternity leave. I worked with various educators, the Vice President of Marketing and Development, and the Marketing Director to design materials needed to promote upcoming exhibits and events as well as various materials needed for those events.

Women's Basketball Manager/Student Assistant
A Division I program, equip to hire two managers, was reliant on my abilities to handle all managerial duties on my own. In addition to being Manager, I participated as a player during practice including drills, full- and half-court play. During games, I filmed the game or kept stats on the bench. As a Student Assistant, I worked with the Head Coach and her two Assistant Coaches in various office tasks. I assisted in designing materials for the program, players, the Pup Club team support group, and summer basketball camps.

Operating Systems
- Mac OS - Preferred and most frequently used operating system.
- Windows - Not used very often, but I would be comfortable using the system.
Software
Print:
- Adobe InDesign - Preferred over Quark XPress, I use InDesign on a daily basis.
- Adobe Photoshop - Used on a daily basis for images used in print and web projects.
- Adobe Illustrator - Used mostly for identity design and some simple vector graphics.
Web:
- Adobe Dreamweaver - Used on a regular basis for web design. I use it mainly for the color coded display of code and the quick browser previews.
- Macromedia Flash - Used occasionally with intermediate to advanced ActionScripting.
- Macromedia Fireworks - Used sometimes as an alternate to Adobe Photoshop.
Photo:
- Adobe Lightroom - Used to edit do initial photo editing.
Video:
- Final Cut Pro - Not used often, but preferred video editing software. I would consider myself an intermediate user.
Programming Languages
- HTML - Used on a regular basis and would consider myself an expert level hand coder.
- CSS - My obsession. I use CSS at an expert level, but I am not yet a master of all the tricks and hacks.
- JavaScript - I am able to write custom code at an advanced level.
- PHP - Preferred language over ASP, I'm an advanced programmer with an ability to write custom code, keeping the user's experience and security in mind.
- MySQL - I have advanced experience designing a database using phpMyAdmin. I have developed web applications for database driven websites and I have an understanding of using MySQL without the phpMyAdmin interface.
- ActionScript - As an intermediate programmer, I use the language occasionally.
- XML - I understand this technology as a way to use information quickly and easily between web and print design.
- ASP - I don't use this language very often, but this is the first web application language I learned and I have been able to remember the syntax quickly.
